Rebecca Argueta honored as Engineering For Kids Foundation's Mentor of the Year.


Riverbend High senior Rebecca Argueta wasn’t sure what to expect when she began teaching kids ranging in age from 4 to 12 the basics of engineering and coding.

But she was pleasantly surprised by what she found. You never know what they’ll come up with,” she said. “They learn things really quickly, and see things in a different way.”

Rebecca recently received the Mentor of the Year award for her work with children through the Engineering for Kids Foundation in recognition for her motivation and leadership qualities.
